Whether you are looking for an introduction to wine tasting, or simply want to be able to order a bottle of wine confidently, the Christie's Wine Course suits every palate and requirement.
This entertaining and informative course was founded in 1982 by Michael Broadbent MW, then Head of Christie's Wine Department, and Steven Spurrier, whose Academie du Vin in Paris provided the basis of the course, the structure of which exists to this day. Both Michael and Steven are still actively involved in the course.
Over five weeks you will be introduced to wines from all over the world using the wines of France as the benchmark. The courses cover the three criteria that make a fine wine: the region and climate, the grape variety, and the influence of the winemaker over the finished product.
