Join us at Christie's Education to celebrate Patrick Bade's new book Music Wars 1937 - 1945 with an exclusive lecture and book signing opportunity:

Explore the unprecedented role music played in World War II.  Whether live or through the recently developed mechanical media of radio, film and gramophone records, it was used by all sides for propaganda and morale-boosting. The lecture will also illustrate how the heightened need for music during felt by millions was satisfied and exploited in a multitude of ways.

Held at Christie's Education, Patrick will be giving a lecture on the topic of the book followed by a drinks reception. You will have the opportunity to meet with a variety of art world professionals and former participants of the revered Christie's Opera Course. The book will be available for purchase at the event and the opportunity to have it signed by Patrick will be available during the reception.

Christie’s Education is proud to have pioneered courses in opera appreciation for more than 25 years. Patrick Bade, a major collector of early opera recordings and has studied opera and art with passion throughout his 30 year career with Christie's Education.
